Sheena is the youngest of a small family, with one other sibling. Born and raised in New York City, she became involved in the arts at an early age. She began performing dance, in the styles of African dance, ballet, and tap. She won several awards in ballet dance competitions by the age of 7. As a child, she was involved in drawing, playing the piano, and writing music, poetry, and short stories. While attending High School of Fashion Industries, Sheena was a member of the drama club where she wrote and directed plays. In between her studies at Baruch College in New York City, Sheena performed at open mics and cabaret. Her vocal coach recommended acting classes to strengthen her performance skills. She fell in love with acting after her first class.
Early in her career, Sheena studied acting at the historic New Federal Theatre, where her showcase performance landed her work with several playwrights. She was cast in independent short films and independent theatre, productions, including A Streetcar Named Desire and Romeo and Juliet. She continued her training at Atlantic Acting School, Juilliard Extension, and T. Schreiber Studio. She went on to work in various print and commercial projects. Currently, she takes private acting coaching and works with playwrights in developing new pieces through staged readings, notably through The Dramatists Guild of America.
Sheena is a member of Actors Equity Association (AEA) and Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
